Education has the potential to shape lives and fulfil hopes and ambitions. For some students however, university life is very different. Encountering bereavement, ill health or a traumatic experience are challenges that place enormous pressure on students, and these pressures are not easily overcome. Unfortunately students with otherwise bright futures often leave university and lose the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
The Vice-Chancellor's Bursary is a £1,000 award to support students to overcome severe hardship and continue their education. It is also a gift to acknowledge their strength and determination to succeed.
