The 2026 RIVR Annual Meeting will take place 8 - 9 January 2026 at Liverpool Hope Hotel.

The RIVR (Recently Independent Virology Researchers) network is a community of recently appointed lecturers & fellows in the UK working in the field of virology. Our annual networking meeting provides a platform for members to present their work, share ideas, discuss funding opportunities, form new collaborations & socialise with virology colleagues.

As usual, we will be inviting presentations from RIVR members, & we are delighted to have Prof Pip Beard, Head of the School of Life Sciences at Keele University as our keynote speaker. She will be sharing her experiences, & professional and personal perspectives at different stages of her career.
