The 2026 RIVR Annual Meeting will take place 8 - 9 January 2026 at Liverpool Hope Hotel.

The RIVR (Recently Independent Virology Researchers) network is a community of recently appointed lecturers and fellows in the UK working in the field of virology. Our annual networking meeting provides a platform for members to present their work, share ideas, discuss funding opportunities, form new collaborations and socialise with virology colleagues.

As usual, we will be inviting presentations from RIVR members, and we are delighted to have Prof Pip Beard, Head of the School of Life Sciences at Keele University as our keynote speaker. She will be sharing her experiences, and professional and personal perspectives at different stages of her career.
