Learn how to make a range of simple book form single sheet forms, sewn pamphlets, hard back concertinas books and 4-hole stab binding.
Detailed Description
· 10am – 4pm on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 August 2026
·· Max 10 per class (should the class numbers not be met, then an alternate date will be sort)
Participants will come away with a set of books that they have made, and the knowledge to be able to continue this craft. On day one we will discuss the paper choices and structure of paper for bookbinding, with examples of artists books. We will go through single sheet forms, sewn pamphlets and start concertina binding.
On day two participants will finish their concertina book and make a 4-hole stab binding. With demonstrations throughout. The book forms can be applied to artists books, portfolios, exhibition handouts and many more applications.
