Women Entrepreneurship Summit 2025

Empowering Women, Building Futures

De Montfort University (DMU) will be hosting the 1st Women’s Entrepreneurship Summit 2025 in collaboration with The Women Empowerment Network (WEN) and The Women Research Network (WRN). The summit will bring together women entrepreneurs throughout the East Midlands and around the UK with the twin goals of bringing new, passionate women into the field of entrepreneurship and provide mentorship for women entrepreneurs in the East Midlands. This full day of immersion of learning, training and networking will emphasise how women can make effective change on the personal, community and national levels.

The summit reinforces the idea that women thrive in unity and community and the event aspires to create a close-knit community of female entrepreneurs who inspire and support one another. Participants will share their passion, drive, and experiences to enhance their personal and professional growth. In the words of Phylicia Rashad, “Any time women come together with a collective intention, it’s a powerful thing.”

This event welcomes women from all ages and backgrounds and could be particularly beneficial for Gen Z entrepreneurs to build their networks and access vital support. Attendees will also hear from distinguished speakers, including politicians, local government leaders, and successful entrepreneurs, offering insights and inspiration that might otherwise be out of reach.

The daytime event is free to attend and open to all. Lunch will be provided.

Gala and Awards Dinner: Honouring Women Making a Difference

Join us for an inspiring Gala and Awards Dinner as part of the Women Entrepreneurship Summit 2025 at the Venue@DMU. This elegant evening will be a celebration of resilience, innovation, and impact - recognising exceptional women entrepreneurs who are driving change in their communities and beyond.

The dinner will feature a three-course meal and the presentation of our Community Impact Awards. These awards honour women whose entrepreneurial journeys have not only built successful ventures but also uplifted others, created opportunities, and contributed meaningfully to inclusive and sustainable growth in the East Midlands.

Whether you're an entrepreneur, changemaker, or supporter of women in business, this gala is a moment to connect, celebrate, and be inspired.

Dinner ticket price: £50 per person

Individuals can bring one guest should they wish and must purchase their guest’s ticket when booking their own ticket. Everyone attending the dinner must have a ticket.
