DMU Special Collections Reprographics Order DescriptionOrder scans of DMU Special Collections archives here. In the first instance, please submit the £5 preparation fee with details of the material that you want to have scanned. Our staff will then find and check the archive, and get back to you with details of the price band for the scans. Once you have paid the reprographics fee we will carry out your order. Copies of material are made for private research use only. Orders may be subject to restrictions including copyright legislation, the size and condition of the item, or file closures. We aim to complete orders for personal use within 15 working days. Reprographics orders will be scanned, and copies will be provided as jpegs or pdf files and emailed or sent via a file transfer system. Orders made in person in the reading room, where the researcher has marked out the pages required, will not be subject to the £5 preparation fee. For example: You would like a copy of the information about a specific department from the 1957 prospectus (reference code DM/A/075). You pay the £5 preparation fee and let us know what you are looking for. Our staff find the prospectus and count up 16 pages of relevant information, equating to 8 scans of double pages. We contact you to let you know that the order falls into the 5-10 scans price band. You pay a further £5. On receipt of the payment we carry out the scan and email you a pdf of the pages you required. |
